To ensure you have the best possible experience, there are a few things you can do to prepare for your appointment. Calgary is a dry city, and dry skin is hard to tattoo! Start moisturizing your skin daily leading up to your appointment. Drink of plenty of water daily leading up to your appointment. Make sure to get a good night's sleep beforehand and have a substantial meal a few hours before coming in. Staying well-hydrated is also really important. Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine for 24 hours prior, as these can thin your blood and affect the tattooing process. Do not wax/sugar/chemical peel/or get a sunburn on the area you want tattooed! Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area we'll be tattooing, and feel free to bring anything to enhance your comfort (headphones, a book, a blanket, a neck pillow, a fidget-toy, your best friend) Most importantly, try to relax and come with an open mind, knowing that you're in good hands.

Absolutely! It's completely normal to feel a bit unsure or to have just a vague idea. That's actually where I come in, and I love helping clients refine their concepts. My goal is to craft a design that uniquely complements your vision, even if that vision is still a little blurry right now. A consultation is highly encouraged so we can go over ideas, and look at reference photos together, and refine the direction we're going in together.

Maintaining an exceptionally clean and hygienic environment is my absolute top priority. I adhere to the highest industry standards for sanitization, sterilization and cross-contamination prevention. All needles are single-use and disposed of immediately after each client, and all equipment that comes into contact with you is either disposable or thoroughly sanitized using hospital-grade cleansers. I meticulously clean and disinfect all surfaces before and after every appointment and cover most surfaces with disposable sheets on top of that. Your safety and well-being are paramount to me, and I want you to feel completely at ease knowing you're in a sterile and professional setting.

A deposit is required to secure your appointment and allows me to dedicate time to your custom design. This deposit goes directly towards the final cost of your tattoo. It also helps ensure commitment from both of us, as I invest significant time in preparing your unique artwork even before you arrive. Should you need to reschedule, please give me at least 48 hours notice, and your deposit will transfer to your new appointment (just one transfer is allowed and a new deposit will be required thereafter). If rescheduling is required, your new appointment must be booked within one year for the deposit to remain valid. Deposits are non-refundable, but they guarantee your spot and my dedicated attention to your project.

Sometimes, a small area of a new tattoo might need a little touch-up after it's fully healed, which is completely normal. If you notice any fading or areas that didn't take the ink as well as others, please don't hesitate to reach out to me within the first 6-12 months after your appointment. We can schedule a complimentary touch-up session to ensure your tattoo looks absolutely perfect and vibrant for years to come. Your satisfaction with the final result is really important to me, and I'm always here to make sure you're happy.

Tipping is always incredibly kind and appreciated, but it's certainly not expected or mandatory. If you feel I've provided you with an exceptional experience and you're thrilled with your new tattoo, a tip is a lovely way to show your gratitude, much like you would for other service industries. There's no standard amount, so please only tip what feels comfortable and right for you. The greatest compliment, though, is always your happiness with the artwork and sharing your positive experience with others!
